Cindy Ley is the Executive Director of Open Doors for Youth.  She is a founding member of the organization since its inception in 2013 and has worked as a volunteer until August 2017, then she was hired as the Executive Director. Cindy has been a resident of Elk River since 1999, volunteering in the schools and community for many years. Her professional career has been in the fields of education and faith formation. Cindy has served as a volunteer with groups that address issues of poverty and inequality, advocating for justice in our communities.

Cindy has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in education from St. Catherine’s University and Hamline University, respectively.

I'm so excited to be a part of Open Doors For Youth! In the past, I've served with AmeriCorps/The Minnesota Alliance With Youth. I have worked with at-risk and under-served students in a high school mentoring program. I also have experience working with the homeless youth population in and around the St. Cloud area. I graduated from St. Cloud State with a community psychology degree, and truly have a passion for listening to others' stories and always learning. On a personal note, I am married and the mom to three amazing young adults whom I love spending time with, and I also enjoy working on anything in the yard or outside - especially during our Minnesota summers!
